  1. I am the greatest at anything I do.
    I know everything about everything.
Watching these videos for amusement, I notice these people doing wax ring removal of other people's poop laden rings with no gloves 🤢! Next they'll pick their nose.

  2. i got this kit, it wasn't nearly as fancy as yours is. not sure why mine had regular j bolts and no guides. i would have loved the bolts and shims, no one likes cutting bolt heads. i did it recently too, so i suppose they went cheap with these kits and got rid of the fancy mounting system.

  3. I'm a Master plumber with over 20 years experience. I gotta give credit where credit is due. You managed to screw up every single thing about installing a toilet. That takes talent with such an easy job. It's been 2 years since this video was made. Guaranteed that toilet has been pulled again by now. If it hasn't It's probably just slowly rotting the floor out.

  4. Best diy video ever, mine was below the floor and had the tilt. I was going to rip everything apart ,and then call a professional when I finally realized that a flooring guy is not a plumber.

  5. I thought the rule of thumb was the flange should be 1) level with the flooring or 2) no more than 1/4" higher than the flooring. Seemed like this one was quite a bit more than 1/4" above.

  6. Very informative video on the subject. I have set many toilets in the past and used standard wax rings with a range of success. Came across your video just as I'm replacing a short toilet to a taller one for my disabled wife. I knew I was going to have to replace some of the flooring as well. I purchased the 3 products you show in your video (from your Amazon links) and am going to install them today once the floor change out is done. With the help of your video, I'm actually looking forward to the end results. My existing flange is in rough shape so I hope the red flange repair part is all it is cracked up to be for a good repair. Thank you for sharing this video.

  7. Love this product…it would have made my reinstallation (last spring) way simpler!
I just saw another content creator use a plastic Solo cup shoved into the hole to capture anything falling in when removing the wax ring.

  8. As a licensed plumber with 43 years experience, working in a large city, I can tell you if the floor flange is properly installed in the first place, unlike god knows what that flange abortion is your working with, a wax ring works just fine. That "supercalifragilisticexpialidocious" fit all super dupper miracle of mankind lifesaving do it yourselfer rubber crap ring is a stupid idea. All of them I remove the rubber is failing, deteriorating .

  9. The problem with all these gizmo's and anti-leak contraptions is they might get the water to go down the pipe but it's the moisture (air) leaks that ruin floors, wood and structural members. . Ya can't just start stacking stuff on top of things without making absolutely sure "zero air" can't travel through it. I really should make a video on setting toilets but I'm lousy at editing and piecing it together…. plus a voice nobody likes to listen to. But I can plumb a large custom house from the ground up all by myself….. and the toilets will never wobble, leak or cause damage.

  10. There is no way in hell the new toilets these days would sit on that. They would be 5 ft in the air. I know this because I had mine sitting way too high like this.

  11. Going to look for this kit at my local plumbing shop (Wholesale Plumbing in Brea, CA) next time I install a new or leaky toilet to save me multiple trips and a headache. $16 ain’t bad at all.
    🤔👍🏻🚽💩🧻

  12. i know the usa method well, but the portugal(i guess europe's too…) method is WAY bettert
they use a sort of special white rubber/plastic bellows that accomodates ALL types of misalignements, ALL; and lasts 20, 30, 40 years..?
not too many good things i can say about piss poor portugal, this is one of them!

now, our INjustice system SUCKS big time, must be one of the worse in the WORLD…slow as molasses in january and WRONGoften too
