Can it be done on flex board
Fiber tape, way thinner, less work
But the crack is caused by a sagging piece of drywall.
Why not remove the tape and support the drywall with more screws to pull it tight, and then put new tape and joint compound on? The tape is just for a smooth transition between the drywall joints and doesn't fix the underlying issue that is causing the crack(s) in the first place, which may likely return if the drywall continues to sag.
Seriously, the most comprehensive and easy to follow video I've come across. Legend!

I thought mesh tape needed hot mud? Why not use paper tape with your joint compound?
Fix the cause of why it cracked, THEN repair the drywall.
Guranteed it will crack again if you don't.
Good work

That's not fixing, it's filling the crack and covered
