Definitely not whiterot. That is mycelium which is feeding off the wood particles, it is normal, it is healthy, it should be encouraged. Googling something will always find what you fear, rather than what it actually is.
Hi Emma that isn't white rot, it's a good fungus that helps plants, don't rip it up, wait and see, great sight for the greenhouse, make sure you can walk all the way round it for clearing and cleaning. big licks Colin the dog,
❤❤❤ your energy is contagious 😊
❤❤❤👍👍👍👍
Thanks for the advise.
Hi Emma- a tip for you. Make sure to sterilise any equipment that has had any contact with the fungus infected soil as otherwise you will spread the disease around all your beds which will make growing alliums difficult for you, in the future. Happy growing 🙂
My book came this morning, can't wait to read it ,love your videos keep up the good work you make me smile thank you from Kim x
We have storm Eowyn today n tomorrow, thought I'd let u know
Hi Emma, re pulling up brambles etc , its why they have put black plastic to cover lots of areas , they will come back if you dont keep on top of weeds ..as they do , I wld cover with cardboard & do this again & Again to keep weeds down , less time consuming, less effort etc , gd luck my lovely
Hi Emma
Not sure if you read people’s comments. But that’s not white rot , so please don’t pull your leeks out
I agree that's not White rot. It's the soil mycelium that's a good sign of healthy soil.
The Music is brilliant . Your presentation is terrific. Love your attitude to gardening .If it works, fine . If it doesnt , do something different . There is no right way . Just a way that works for you.
Hi Emma
What about a seating area so you can relax and see your progress when you are feeling like things are getting on top of you.
Well done and keep going
Gosh Emma, you are so enthusiastic, I don't know how you manage to keep so clean either.
I always end up covered in mud .
Your doing great Emma keep it up. I talk to my birds tooxx
Hiya Emma, I vote for another pond if allowed perhaps in the corner where you were going to put greenhouse? Anywhoo just a thought. Take care see you Friday. Ontario Canada 🐝🇨🇦👋🏻
Emma, im sure that's not white rot.
White rot sticks to the roots
Agree with others that it is NOT white rot, but rather is mycelium, a good fungus. It's showing up because your soil has been damp for a while. No worries!
Please put your greenhouse in the clearest sunniest location. Don’t forget the trees have leaves and cast bigger shadows in the spring and summer.
I was watching another alotment utuber and they had the same as what your calling white rot but he said it was something else and shows how good his soil is. Double check white rot ua fluffy fungal that's on the base of the buld and later it turns into what looks like black seeds
Emma chill out a little white rot can not be seen in soil you only see it on the plant unless maybe a tiny bit fell off but you cant see it in soil and definitely not on your scale and I'm sure u don't even get white rot in winter also is it not maybe all that slug control stuff you tried putting down over the summer and yer do a big pond build would love that right in middle at back of new plot and keep greenhouse to one side so can see pond with a seating area
If it is white rot, then you're going to have to get rid of the affected soil, which means you shouldn't put it into your compost bin. It's such a shame; I do feel for you.
Are you putting a foundation – proper base for the greenhouse?
You're allowed to get excited for Spring already…. its 'Midwinter' so thats halfway through winter !
Always great seeing your videos… xx
Sorry to say this Emma but until you rid the garden of snails you will never grow many crops.
Its not white rot!!! Its beneficial!!! Read the comments!!!
I just love the sound of all the birds around you. Sounds like Spring is coming! The greenhouse is going to look fabulous! Keep digging!
EMMA please read your comments. It is not white rot its MYCELIUM which is the good stuff.
Emma I don't think white rot can be seen in soil only on the root and bulb of your allium.. If you have wood chip in bed then more likely it's mycellium which grows on old decaying wood and very beneficial to the soil…. Don't pull everything up before checking.
Not white rot ??
I received my copy of your handbook today.
No no no Emma it’s not white rot it’s mycelium. Mycelium is beneficial for good soil
Mycelium. Hopefully you did not pull you leeks, onions and garlic out. Mycelium is beneficial and desirable in soil as it makes nutrients available to your plants.
I think the bindweed might come in the greenhouse that's why the sheets of plastic was down that whot u just pulled up it's not white rot it good fungi
Hi Emma happy gardening and please make sure that white stuff is not white rot because you have to get rid of so much, Malcom kingswel use to get it on his garden on the roots onions and garlic sometimes, ❤
looking great Emma highly recommended rare seeds in USA best seed company and real seed in uk
