  1. Thank you I’m new to growing different stuff apart fr9m cucumber and toms, bought a see sack off Amazon some can’t plant until next year but have things like chives cabbage cauliflower all year round one( don’t think my containers will be big enough for cauliflower though) carrots radish and lettuce, I have spring onion seeds white Lisbon can I plant them now? Mines only a plastic 6ft green house, hoping to buy a new polycarbonate one soon, daren’t do glass with dogs.

  2. Thanks Ivan….really useful as always 👍👏.

I'm a new (ish) gardener…managed to get an allotment plot 3 months ago and amazed at what I've been able to do when I thought nothing would grow and in such a short period of time when it was completely overgrown to start with!

I've not got a garden at home….a balcony enough for some containers but that's it…so have been thinking about a cold frame/polytunnel/greenhouse/tiny shed (all that's allowed on the plot!)…..what's the best option if you haven't got a space to grow seedlings under cover properly?

I've managed to get a few things going on a windowsill but obviously only so much….can things still be grown inside over autumn and winter? Ive got a few containers full of radishes, turnips, lettuce and such currently outdoors on the plot…but not sure if or how often i should be thinning the seedlings!

    Any advice is most welcome.

    Many thanks 😊🙏
