  1. I feel really old because I actually enjoy cleaning and watching cleaning videos now, LOL! I noticed your daughter is a Frozen fan from her stuffies. I used to be a big Frozen and Disney fan. This past year though I got rid of all of my Disney stuff. The more I read God's Word, the more I realized how much witchcraft and sorcery I had let into my life and God hates that. Even when witchcraft and sorcery is presented in such a "cute" way it's still witchcraft and sorcery. If anyone likes to listen to podcasts while they clean, I love the one "God's Little Hummingbird" that goes chapter by chapter through the Bible using Hebrew and Greek as a guide (the original languages) I hope you all have a blessed day! <3

  2. protip about vaccing, do it very slowly. you get more dirt and there is less wear and tear than running it back and forth so fast. i learned this working at merry maids back in the 17th century. if you don't believe me, test how much dirt you get in your canister or whatever by doing it slowly.

  3. I am so upset that I used Affresh in my dishwasher and washer. I have had to scrub and scrub getting the white film off of my dishwasher and washer and my clothes and dishes are getting film on them.

  4. I listen to your videos and other cleaning talk videos when I'm looking for motivation. I have ADHD and I find this really helps me be motivated and to not get distracted. It also keeps me in the cleaning mood

  5. Hello Melisa I always enjoy watching your videos.
I have a question for you maybe you can elaborate about the question.
    Question
    # 1. When I’m putting a flat sheet on a bunkbed or on a regular bed, should I put the flat sheet with the seam facing up or because when you fold it at the pillow the head of the bed you know when you fold it over then the raw side of the same is folded up so which way should I place the flat sheet on the bed?

    # 2. I work in a hospital and I do housekeeping there in the patient’s rooms. We have sinks for the patient. They can fill up their cups of water wash their hands instead of having to go into the bathroom. There’s a little sink outside in the bedroom part of the hospital and it’s a stainless steel sink, I understand how to wash the stainless steel according to the grain because I’ve watched your videos but we are always wiping down with bleach wipes while it makes the stainless steel sink look gross like it just doesn’t make it look fresh. What do you recommend we should do after wiping down the sink with those bleach wipes because we have to use the bleach wipes to fight the bacteria. The viruses whatever, should I wipe it down with alcohol later on after it dries out so that we don’t get those white streaks from the bleach?

  6. A little tip for a clean mattress, don't make your bed as soon as you wake up but let it air out for some time. And a big clean, before you vacuum your mattress put some baking soda on the matress and let it sit for 30 minutes.

  7. Best garbage pail is the Brabantia. I also never put compostable garbage in, but everything else goes in that's not recyclable. Brabantia lasts forever (mine is 15 years old and looks brand new); super easy to clean, and most importantly – it never smells…. Expensive, yes – but if you can afford it, you'll never regret it. I'd even put this on my Christmas wish list if I didn't have one 🙂

  8. Hi Melissa
We have put down lvp flooring a couple of years ago. I love the color of it but it is hard to keep clean. You see all the footprints and it seems to scar easily. A month or more ago I mopped it and then put a product on it for shine that specifically said it was for this type of floor. Now all I can see in one spot in particular it is almost like I stopped mopping in that area and went onto the next section. Hard to explain. I have tried to get rid of it and nothing works. It looks like a big smudge. I am hoping you can help me. Thanks in advance.

  9. I love watching your helpful tips. They just make cleaning the house so much easier for me because I have limited mobility these days and my Hubby has also got limited mobility. But life shouldn't mean spending your whole life cleaning, hey. Thank You so much for your inspiration. From Sue in Melbourne Australia.

  10. I clean very day because I have ocd and I vacuum my beds very week and with baking soda and water in the closets but some Lavender oil to it and it smells beautiful and so very clean but I wipe everything down the shelves and everything my organizers and then I put all that in the closet

  11. Wow, you´re the doppel-ganger of a famous Pakistani actress called Ushna Shah! I watched the video for the great cleaning tips, but kept thinking "Why does she look so familiar?" Really, google her! Even your voice is nearly spot on. 😲

  12. Hi Melisa I have a big problem. Ive been so busy caring for family that my kitchen walls have suffered. I have a build up of grease on my walls. They look gross. How can I clean them without taking the paint off the walls? Thanks so much

  13. Love most if your advise except for letting the stuff on your counters be swept off onto the floor! I keep a small brush and dust pan for this chore. This way I'm not stepping on gunk from the counters and making a bigger mess to clean up.🤗👍💖

  14. I love your tips for most important areas and also for getting knots out of necklaces!

All too often, I’m all/perfectionistic or nothing. It can and does vary, but not too often. When I’m not able to be perfectionistic about everything, cleaning feels waaay too overwhelming and like I’m not capable of doing anything. I really appreciate your recommendation to do the mist important areas first, instead of trying to get to it all when I’m not able to. That’s very helpful! Thank you. 😊

  15. i cleaned houses for 15 years, my own for 54…
one thing I seldom see addressed on many excellent cleaning sites ( including yours❤) is the huge fact that most people do not live/ with in the “upscale, latest thing” in cupboards, floors, counter tops, bathrooms; in fact, many live in houses and furnishings of at least 25 years age! you would assume everyone has granite counter tops, stainless appliances, hardwood polished floors… this is not “real” i too could make such domains look terrific…but an older house, with older furnishings is much more challenging. as is cleaning with older bodies. i am glad your home is more realistic. comfortable, attractive, but not a 2020 clone of every new house on the street…
    😘
