Here is a way that WORKS!!!!

1:Grab a cup
2:Fill the cup with hot water
3:add DAWN dish soap
4:grab a plastic fork or just a sliver fork
5:pour the mixture in the stain
6: use the fork to make it soapy
7: use a paper towel or a napkin to wipe the stain
8:use a little bit of baking soda (OPTIONAL)
9:let it sit for a hour or more
10:try to wipe it off
11: vacuum (OPTIONAL)
12:Then your done:)

Instead using baking soda try to replace with talcum powder or any perfumed powder.
As a powder, it absorbs moisture well & make carpet smell nice.

Unless you have pets I read you should not use essential oils like small pets j/s

That carpet looks stained and dry baking soda isn’t going to clean that up. These social media videos has turned everyone ignorant.

Powders are still left in the carpet don’t do this to any carpets. Get the carpet cleaned professionally then there won’t be any bad smells because all of the dirt and particulates that causes odors will be pulled out of the carpet to a tank. Then you will have a nice smelling carpet in your dwelling space.
