Only $400 each before the edging kit? What a deal. 😂
you should sand the wood down so it’s smoother to avoid cuts
Now we know where those $64 tomatoes come from!
I can't agree that the greater depth is better for your plants. The increased hight will actually subject them more to heat as the root now don't have access to the actual soil; which ground is not a good conductor for holding heat and it's a fact the lower you go the cooler it is…ask anyone who enjoys going in caves. You now have raised your plants higher off the ground, which provides more surface area for heat to get in.
You are amazing
How is this compared to Vego raised bed?
I’m impressed with your garden channel and with these beds. I notice this video is from two years ago. How have they held up? Specifically, has there been any rust?
Gorgeous
These are beautiful! Have they rusted at all since you installed them??
5:52 Pressure treated wood hasn't used toxic chemicals in over twenty years. Unless you're using incredibly old lumber (in which case I'd wonder if there are any chemicals left for the soil to absorb anyway), it shouldn't do any harm to your soil or plants.
Treated boards nowadays is FDA approved….the materials used to treat and process is different than 20 years ago,
Love those aqua colored cylinders planters! Where are those from please?
the treated lumber today is not toxic like they used to be,
The metal raised beds make a lot of sense for durability, but don't they get too hot in the sun for the plants? I'm in Broward county FL.
This is a great channel, you do an excellent job explaining the concepts. I live in Central Florida with a half acre food forest that I started 15 years ago. It’s nice to get some tips and inspiration from other local gardeners. Thanks!
Thanks for sharing. It's great to have many options!!
Top notch cuts from that guy working on the hurricane shutters 😁
Looks great!!
Plants are definitely going to enjoy that extra depth!
So do they send the team out with the price of the raised bed or did you hire extra help to do the work for you? Most people can't afford to hire outside help. How can you tell us the difficulty putting them together when you didn't do it yourself. I'm sure it looked easy watching others do it. Lastly, did you get paid to promote this product? Because why else would you replace beds in such a failing economy when the old worked fine this whole time
Sorry if you mentioned it, but what brand was the beds that you replaced? Thanks!
