  2. Really don't understand the sheet washing culture of Americans, this is not the first video I have seen where you don't wash your sheets weekly,🤢 especially in hot weather, it is the norm to wash sheets weekly where I live, and we mostly line dry here also, so it's more time consuming. 😮 2:06

  3. If you live somewhere where you get freezing winters and thus dry air, I really recommend an air humidifier. When the air is more moist the dust falls down where it can be cleaned instead of ending up in your airways. We get a lot less respitory issues with a humidifier.

  4. About toilet paper… My mother lived to be 94. For the last 10 years of her life she had a lot of urinary tract infections. Her doctor recommended she not use those super soft brands of toilet paper. They felt they were contributing to her problem. I know those types of toilet paper contribute to the dust in the bathroom because I used a brand that did not leave dust all over the chrome in the bathroom.

  5. I live in Australia now and I noticed that people do not take their shoes off when they enter a home, whereas in Sweden we always did this. Swedish homes are generally much less cluttered and I think this makes a big difference to the amount of dust.

  6. Just now happened upon you videos. Love them. Thank you. You're doing a wonderful job. I will be watch many more.
About bedroom dust, you can put comforters, pillows, etc. into the drier on air, to get rid of dust instead of unnecessarily washing frequently.
Bamboo t.p., here. Also one of the least chemically laden (not to mention the sustainability issue),

  7. Also, I am the nutcase that vacuums and scrubs floors in the dark. With a flashlight ( unless the vacuum has a light)
Everyone in the world would be completely horrified if they saw how much dust and dirt is really left on their floor. I am not a clean freak or OCD. But I do love my floors.
Of course I can’t get all the dust off, but it does help when you can really see the dust that gets left behind😂😂😂😂😂

  8. Great video. Get a robot vacuum cleaner with a mop. My Roborock S8 Pro Ultra is just brilliant! No dust on my tiled floors that I can see. Adapts to tiles, wood and carpet automatically. House is reasonably well sealed, so I only need to run it a couple of times each week. Need my Dyson to suck up dust from the nooks and crannies where the Roborock cannot reach, but only once a month. Roborock even gets under my bed!!

  9. I learned last week from a professional that for the dust on the floor the best thing is to use the dust cloths! Like "Swiffer" because it doesnt make thin dust fly in the air and then come back on the floor 2 minutes after. He said that is the best to vacum twice a week and then the other days to use the dust cloth 😊

  10. There are 3 prime reasons my house has dust.

    1) Two long-haired cats. Used to be my mother's prior to her passing 5 years ago. We've bonded, they aren't going anywhere! But between the cat fur and litter box (both dust and tracking and I buy low-dust, low tracking formulas) they up my housekeeping routine.
    2) Heating by woodstove. Lofted ceilings, 3-story A-frame house, can't afford to heat by electric or gas. Wood is everywhere around here. I get a workout dealing with it and my house is heated for minimum cost (chainsaw repairs). So that's not changing. But the dust from the ash is problematic. I have a special vacuum for it and use it often.
    3) My husband bakes bread and grinds his own flour in a countertop grinder. I'm not going to complain, but it does create a lot of dust in the immediate area and anything within 6 feet. Great bread though.

  11. oh wow your 100+ year old house actually has functional vents! Ours.. if you try and clean them, the old house debris is just going to fill the vent holes again quickly. So, i have to bring dust in from the outside by using open windows as a vent. Maybe a balcony AC would be an upgrade? not sure. But the bedsheet recommendation was very welcome. My kitty loves it when i change the bedsheets so it doubles as playtime.
I will probably have to watch a dedicated mopping and carpet cleaning tutorial because these are the main advice i need to follow from this video. I don't do enough mop because i focus on large dust particulets and not on anything that's sticking itself into the surface
