  1. Crazy how so many weekend warriors spend spend spend on gadgets and gizmos when local hardware shops can have a simple cheap effective tool that will suffice .
Well in Dave for highlighting this

  2. I would start less aggressive, I would first use a MF towel, then a soft inside detail to be more aggressive. Also, a toothbrush is another good brush for the inside. Don't forget to use rinseless wash for your interior for lightly soiled interiors. On very dirty & disgusting steering wheels, I will use a disinfectant/ degreaser, then wipe with detailer or rinseless…

  3. I am new in this business and have a few questions. So, I clean the interior of peoples cars and charge 40$ for the whole car, vaccuming, dusting, scrubbing, cleaning the dash and the mats, all of that stuff. Wondering if i should charge more or less? What is the threshold?

  4. Hi Dave Thanks so much for the fantastic video’s. I’m starting to have more confidence when cleaning the car. It’s brilliant how passionate you are on cleaning cars . Thanks again Dave. Stuart

  5. For interior my go to is now a soft suede shoe brush. Bit longer. I found hte nail brush was great but the tiny footprint means one tyre takes ages. The footprint is obviously much bigger on a shoe polish brush but much softer too. Still gets in all the plastic dips and nobbles but somewhere between a detailing brush and the nail brush. Ok its £3 as opposed to 50p but buy a good KIWI one or something will last longer than the cheap nail brushes too (in my experience). For tyres i use a hand held floor/scrubbing brush or a washing up brush if i need something smaller on a handle for the harder areas to reach. (i put a microfibre up to cover the rim so if i slip whilst scrubbing the tyre im hitting my hand in a microfibre not scratching the rim with it instead) and simply move the towel round as i work around the tyre face. Im yet to buy detailing brushes. I keep loking at them but bought Chalk Paint brushes during covid (3 pack on amazon 8.99) when detail brushes were out of stock everywhere. I had to go with what Tesco had as potential alternatives to drill attachments and brushes, that two years later im still happily using. Shoe polish brushes are great on interior carpets too with the APC/interior detailer/hand washing liquid (for wools, as those detergents are really soft and gentle). I have one for carpets as a scrubber and one for all other plastics to prevent cross contamination. Easy to clean after too, so ready and perfect for next time.

  6. Hi dave! hope you're well, mate! I have just bought a wetvac and told a customer of mine and she was a bit worried as she has heated seats. Will it be okay to spray the seats with a interior cleaner and use a wet vac to remove as much liquid as I can? I don't use a lot of product on the seats, so they don't get mega damp. Also is this the right way to clean cloth interior seats with the wet vac? thanks mate!

  7. This is just the thing , if it works does it have to be a named product to get results ? No not really

For APC I use a cheapo Aldi one , its only around 90p and if your cars cleaned often you dont always need a named , 10 times the price APC . Ive used one of these brushes on my tyres for years , does all you need and when its buggered , just buy another and throw the other away . You can pay more for a can of coke than one of those

  8. Who wouldn't like the car cleaning hacks as it's one from Dave 👍 roll on end of August as getting new car & all the great tips you've given over time will be put to good use soon 😁

  9. I use similiar brush bought for penies for low profile tires. Works the charm with proper tire cleaner. For bigger prifile I have a cheap market brush (<2euros) and it is just faster to work. Importnat when you do not wet car multiple times and it is warm outside.

My tip. Tangle teezer brush for microfibers and mitts.
Carpro scrub for interior including fabric.
Using bilthamber auto foam for prewash all year long, with pump sprayer, not foamer. It is a perfect prewash – fast!, cheap, wax friendly, potent! and you can just chose dillution for the job. I pick stronger stuff only for strip.
