ABOUT A TO ZEN LIFE
Along my journey to let go of 30 years of clutter, I accidentally became a minimalist and it was life-changing.

Before, I was an emotional hoarder with nothing but the clutter from lost loved ones — and $25,000 of debt — to my name. Now I have a beautiful home in Europe, a happy family, live debt-free, and — best of all — wake up to a life that I’m EXCITED to live every day.

My mission is to help you conquer your clutter and simplify YOUR way to a happier and better life. HERE’S OUR STORY:

  1. This video is just what I needed to hear! It's easy to get overwhelmed, but breaking it down into these steps feels much more manageable. Time to set that timer and start with the trash sweep!

  2. Great tips! I especially appreciate the reminder that decluttering is about mental health and happiness, not just a tidy home. Time to tackle those clutter drop zones and fill up my donation box!

  3. Your immaculate looking home seems to be too good to be true for someone that knows clutter, however, the relatable experience of dropping off donations and just taking a peek where they were dropped off is all too real. I am giving these strategies a try. Thanks❤

  4. This video is so helpful and motivating! It's inspiring to hear how decluttering can positively impact not just our homes, but also our mental well-being. Thanks for the practical tips and the reminder to prioritize our happiness over our possessions.

  5. This video is exactly what I needed to hear! It’s amazing how much lighter you feel, mentally and physically, after letting go of things you no longer need. Thanks for the motivation!

  6. My moms only joy is going to buy stuff at the trift store. For 20 years she said she's going to sell the things she buys. Nope. Not one thing sold. She needs therapy. She refuses to get help. She's going to end up falling and breaking a hip or worse. This mess is ridiculous. The only thing I can do is to pack everything up and stack it. There's three bedrooms and since i moved back in only one is being used. Theres things she hasn't seen in 18 years.

  7. This looks likes a silly theatre play 3:29: "Let's go to my" (not messy) "bookshelf" (already decluttered for the 100th time). Horror expression like if she saw the Loch Ness Monster inside it "Are you kidding me? This is not my son's work!!!!!" Call 911, call the Cops!! Poor kid, he'll be grounded till Xmas 2050 … 😁

  8. I learned so much from this video AND gained motivation. I want to get started. I’m one of those people who look at, say, and entire room and “wait until I have the time” to do the whole thing. It’s all or nothing for me. And it’s almost always nothing. Thanks for the great tips!!

  9. I'm currently decluttering my bedroom which used to be a storage room and was my sister's room so there's a lot of mess, BUT I managed to get it semi looking and feeling like a room, Here's my tips 😀

1: I recommend having a like little you time, By that I mean eat breakfast, and basically do whatever you find entertaining, If you're like me and wake up around 8 and eat breakfast around 9, You can have like three hours to yourself and start cleaning around 1!

2: To not get bored while cleaning I like to talk to myself and occasionally take little breaks, In case I see something old that I like I think to myself 'Is this dirty? Can it be cleaned?' 'Can I get this at dollar tree or a store I know' which helps me figure out if I should or shouldn't and if I don't know I put it inside a pile

3: I recommend having gloves and a mask on, Since my bedroom is a old storage room I began to itch slightly from the dust and buildup, And my lungs and throat were not feeling the best but after I threw a long sleeved shirt and long pants along with gloves and a mask I felt better! I highly recommend this

4: To get in the cleaning mood, do small things like fixing up your bed or vacuuming. This makes you more willing to clean! Specially if after you're like "Huh that looks good" then your brain will basically sense that as a feel good feeling and want more and now you're in a loop of cleaning 😀

5: Get a good amount of sleep so you don't feel weird and tired in the morning and to tired to clean

That's all for now 😀 I will probably update this as I clean my room or may not. No promises >:3

  10. Yes, yes, yes~!!! "Don't put your stuff on a pedestal above your own mental health and happiness." So many times I think I will recycle, reuse, sell on FBMP, take to a friend, share with family, or whatever that I get caught in the trap (love the Star Wars!) of make yet ANOTHER LIST of things to do. I love your approach – it's exactly what I came here for before I begin decluttering. Trash and Donations out of the house – do nothing until that it finished!

  11. Our charity (thrift) shops are overwhelmed with peoples’ clutter. A lot of people dump stuff on them which really isn’t re-saleable. Our recycling centres can’t cope either, so they’ve started a booking system, the consequence of which is a load of stuff in my garage waiting until I’ve got a car load. The worst of it is that people are just dumping their rubbish in the countryside, on farming land, in rivers etc. So I would just ask people if you’re in the process of de-cluttering, to be responsible and mindful about where that unwanted stuff is going to end up. I’m in the UK. 🕊️
