  1. Dryer sheets are incredibly dense forever chemicals that are damaging your DNA and your body and your health! Why does anybody imagine their safety use?!? Have you not caught up with the news?!? They should be pulled from the market

  2. Try watered-down Dawn Platinum dish detergent for any grease spots. I keep a recycled hand soap bottle that dispenses foam. Rub it into fabric and wash as normal. Wash anything with spandex with the next load.

  3. Add 10% of the total volume of isopropyl to your cleaning fluid and it will also kill germs. Doesn't smell as good And it's hard to say (you are Adorable), but for dog stains, etc, there's no sub!

  4. Ma'am that grey water in your tub after you stripped the "dirt" off was not dirt. You are stripping the fabric dye. Thats why its a gray color instead of brownish!! Dont believe me? Strip a bunch of stuff thats white or very light pastel colors. Your water will be only murky from all the soaps but not like when you do darks!!

  5. The reason you had that black "dust" on your windows so fast is it's not dust. It's soot from candles and it's horrible to breathe and gets on everything!! Candles are the worst and why now people quit lighting them and just using warmers.

  6. HAND SANITIZER TIP: If you get sharpie marker on a table, glass, or other slippery service, this will take it right off! I like to use these laminated sheets that I have lists on and I use a sharpie to check them off, and when I need to wipe the sheet clean a squirt of the sanitizer and a kleenex does the trick and it is back to being good as new.

  7. I know that Hoover has been around since 1991. My husband and I received that same vacuum for our wedding. it went straight to Germany with us and traveled the world for many years.

  8. 1/2 C for small loads, 3/4 C for medium loads, 1 C for large/xlargqe loads. Iuse borax and baking soda. The first loads required multiple washings because so much soap, dirt, and residue came out. Also, cut your amount of detergent in half. We use way too much.

  9. OdoBan is a great alternative deoderizer for laundry instead of PineSol. The scent is much more pleasant, and its actually made to deoderize fabrics, among other things… i also use it when wiping down toilets (everything but the inside of the bowl).

  10. I have a big bag of citric acid and a toilet tank that is absolutely filthy. We're on a well and the toilet is from the 70's, I'm going to try that Citric acid trick! Thanks for the tip 🤞Using a mop in the shower works equally as well.

  11. There is a home made recipe for laundry detergent that is the bomb. It includes super washing soda (the ash) and Borax, as well as Fels Naptha (which you can find in bars, usually on the bottom shelf, in the detergent isle. The recipe (you'll have to look it up because last time I posted a link I was put in YT time out for a week) calls for grating the bar, melting it, adding the other two, mixing it up with a hand blender, pouring it into a container like a Ball jar, and letting it cool/firm up. You can use a small ice cream scoop or a tablespoon to put in as much as you like into your wash (don't put it in the dispenser, it won't work). Odors and most stains gone. For the stubborn stains … don't dry the item! Take a bit of the soap mix and work it into the fabric and re-launder.

  12. Pine Sol will also help to keep your washer clean without having to buy those expensive "Afresh" tabs. Vinegar works also. I add it to my bleach dispenser. Cleans the machine as well as softens the water so your clothes rinse cleaner. You'll smell it in the wash, but the scent will be completely gone after drying.

  13. Rather than a trash bowl, I keep those bags you put your produce in at the store. I throw everything in there and tie it up tight so it doesn't stink up the trash can. Old, used zip locks are great for getting rid of liquid wasted and an old coffee can is great for putting your grease in. All are sealed, so no smell.

  14. Love your videos. I have always vacuumed in straight lines side by side like that because I wanted to make sure I covered every spot & forget where I have been. I never knew people just went everywhere. Lol

  15. If your washing machines tub measures 3.2 cf it is considered a small capacity washer and comforters should not be washed in them. The manual should tell what size it is. Or that obnoxious big card that describes the specs might say. Washer tubs with a 4.5 cf measurement are considered medium capacity washers by some manufacturers and 5 cf tubs are large capacity. If you have a small capacity washer you should be taking it to the laundromat and use their big washers. Wash them about every other month.

  16. If you grow your own herbs, add some fresh to your all purpose vinegar cleaner. This can be done by infusing them in the vinegar water solution. The ratio of vinegar to water as well, contributes to the effectiveness of the solution. I am a professional cleaner and years ago, in the beginning, could not buy any non chemical cleaners that actually worked well for my tasks. I made my own from water and vinegar and my herbs and eventually found the right ratio, (2 parts vinegar to one part water and a handful of herbs) Boil the water and vinegar, turn off the heat, then add your fresh herbs. Stir and let sit covered.. i let it sit overnight to make sure it gets as strong as I like it, Then strain into a jug or bottle and toss out the used herbs. The result is a beautifully colored solution (lavender has a pink hue, certain mints make a golden hue)… and there is an equally beautiful aroma. It leaves a fresh, wonderful scent in the rooms that my clients love and you can safely spray it on fabrics to freshen them. Some of my clients, who buy my cleaners, even spray it on their salads and fresh veg and tell me that it has changed their lives as they find it easier and more pleasant to clean up their kitchens in between my visits. Different herbs have different properties that are infused in the cleaner. Anti fungal, anti microbial, anti bacterial…, and to get an extra boost of sterilization you can always add a splash of vodka to the mix.
