  1. Used a steam cleaner to remove paint and drywall dust. Did an outstanding job and in a fraction of the time it would’ve taken otherwise. Modern vinyl plank floors stand up well to steamers, unlike floors a decade or two ago.

  2. I am SO glad I found this video before I went out and wasted money on something to make my floors shiny lol. We just moved into this apartment that has brand new LVP and there’s 5 adults and 2 cats. We don’t wear our outside shoes in the apartment but 4 of us wear crocs inside lol (concrete floors under the LVP) so I was hoping to shine them up a bit. Guess I’ll just have to settle for knowing they’re clean without the shiny bonus.

  3. New LVP floor in the home. I've always used Swiffer mop & now it seems I must switch. I'm concerned about the wider mop not getting into small nooks & corners (like my downstairs 1/2 bath, small credenza by the garage door, behind the entertainment center) like the Swiffer can. Does the mop come in a smaller size? Also, not a fan of wash & reuse pads. Like to use once & throw away.

  4. I moved into a new construction and we have LVP floor that was looking so dull! So I found your video and I bought the ZEP Ph neutral cleaner. Guess what? It works! My floor looks much better. The biggest issue with LVP floors are the dry footprints that are visible after cleaning. It drives me crazy! The footprints are not visible anymore and the floor looks shiny!

  5. i just got vinyl plank flooring. i found the Zep and i only see Shaws Neutral no rinse floor cleaner. And i see you measured Zep into the bottle cap, but i dont see you adding the shaws. are they supposed to be used together? or you do Zep first, let dry then use the shaws? thank you.

  6. I used a Bissell SpinWave robotic mop/vacuum combo with a cap full of the Zep cleaner. Did a fabulous job!!!! The floor was just installed and this was its first cleaning the day the installer was done. I had no idea the floor was so dirty and the pads had to be rinsed out after each room, as they were sooooooooo dirty!!! NO STREAKS!

  7. Don't know about the Ecolab product, but Zep contains ethylbenzene. You might want to look up that chemical. Neutral doesn't necessarily mean non hazardous to your health.

  8. Vinyl flooring with grooves are nothing but filthy dust traps. Can’t wait to get out of this apartment and the constant filthy floors. I never wear shoes in house. I can’t understand why these floors are so gross. Anything with grooves will hold dirt trapped down and require constant scrubbing or lifting of that dirt. I am a slave to these floors. Can NEVER get them clean. If I do, it lasts for 5 minutes then natural dust begins to settle. Never had black bare feet until these disgusting floors.
