What herb do you want to see a guide on next? We're growing a ton right now!
My mint is throwing out more legs than leaves … am I doing something wrong
I feel like an absolute idiot because I’m killing my mint that I started a month or so ago in a container. Most of the rest of my herbs in my new herb garden are doing fine but the mint looks particularly sad. I knew it needed to be in its own container as I’m always telling people that mint wants to take over the world. I’m a reasonably decent vegetable gardener so I’m at a loss for what I could be doing wrong. Fresh soil with good organic matter, good drainage in the pot, but the bottom part near the soil is brown and yellow. Sheesh, I thought mint was next to impossible to kill but look at my skills here! I should mention that I can’t get rid of the mint that has grown under the fence from my neighbor’s house and up from underneath my raised beds…. 😛
Hey, coffee grounds for her yay or nay?

Thank you so much for sharing this information for free. It’s so fascinating and helpful! I now have my own amateur garden on my city balcony 😍 it’s a wonderful way to connect with nature where I am.
Thank you.
I have grown mint and basil in pots for a few years. Last year the pots were adjacent. After picking some basil I noticed it tasted all wrong. Upon closer inspection of the plant, I noticed it had a reddish colored stem. also, a distinctly mint flavor. I guess they cross pollinated—didn't know that'd happen.
Chocolate mint leaves taste like those candies they leave on top of hotel room pillows.
Do you cut mint at the top or leaves… or by the branch… this is not the easiest 😂 I'm struggling with this be can grow anything else from seed.
This is extremely helpful! My son has asthma and chronic respiratory issues so I’m growing.
I grow mint around my house to prevent mice from getting in . mice don’t like mint.
I have a problem that the papers of my mint are too small not as big as you have. Do you have any idea why?
You guys have the best videos with complete instructions. Thank you.
Fun little thing I learned from my grandmothers mistake-
Don’t plant mint directly in the ground, always separate it into its own pot or it will never leave. It will take over.
Many know this already, but I am devious and also have a tendency to hold long term grudges.
So, if anyone ever messes with me, minty is going to have a child and I will be placing them into the unwitting care of whomever made me angry. Not by giving it to them, no that’s not enough, by planting it in a small corner of their yard. Watch as their entire yard slowly is overtaken by mint, and by the time they even notice it’s there… it’s too late.
Of course, I can be easily counteracted by people who know what the plant is or by simply not having a yard… but I can hold a grudge long enough that if they ever get one, especially an unkept one… muahaha
Sadly, I’ve never gotten the chance to do this, though I’d love to.
Edit: I would like to clarify, for this man’s sake, that these sorts of videos will not be aiding my revenge. The entire plan I have is not aided by proper watering or any of that, as I’d be caught in a second. No, the plan is just a nonsensical thing that I’ll probably never get to do. If I hate someone that much, I usually avoid them and never learn their address.
I didn't know you could be so brutal to mint
I’ve been trying to grow mint from seed to no avail I’m going to try again now. I really
Hope they germinate.
Did you know peppermint does keep rat away. I planting them to keep away rat and so
I found strawberry mint last year… smells fantastic! Great for drinks!
I got some gnats on my new mint seedlings what should I do??
So what is so special about mint that allows it to taste like chocolates and peppers? Why cant I grow chocolate spinach or tomato?
Great info, thank u! 😊

I meeeaan I just grew some spearmint from seed here in my garden ☺️ I live in Hawaii , so I mean the weather may just be right for it 🤷♂️ 🥰
My parents planted a spear mint plant in the ground year ago and it used to take over but I think i won the battle as the mint is not ad prolific as it was two years ago
One of the best channels
Well explained
i think letting them go to seed and cross/pollinate is the problem. Getting muddled.
Cheer~~~an aromatic plant native to temperate regions of the Old World, several kinds of which are used as culinary herbs.😊
Tying mint on tree branches help deer away.
❤
Lmao I planted some mint plants in my garden specifically to take up the space instead of weeds 😅
While propagating in water.. do we need to change the water? If so how frequently?
At my house (parents house) We had a mint planr and they planted it jn the ground snd it's taken over one spit ijntje front yard and its growing in the cracks of rhe concrete between the garage and the driveway
I am thinking of planting mint right in the ground. I have so many stinging ants and mosquitoes. And I don't think I care if it overgrows. Any one else do this?
I know that mint is rootable so no rooting hormone needed
If they're invasive, then I must really be bad at growing them.
Still looking for the difference between yerba buena and "spearmint". A company called Bonnie Plants sent me a "Spearmint (yerba buena)" plant, but that doesn't seem right according to the research I'm doing.
I love minr plants..I wanna learn more..thank you Kevin..
Is mint a perennial? The people where I bought the mint plant – they told me once you cut it and use it, it’s no longer any good. Plant just dies. Is this true?
1:17 Ummmm…what do you mean you can't grow it from seed? I did it this year. I went out and bought spearmint seeds, planted them, and they grew.
Mint mayhem. Lol
Why did he say you can't grow spearmint from seed? I sowed spearmint in seed trays and they are THRIVING. You can grow it from seed VERY easy…
Thank you so much for this video and all the advices on the comment section. ❤
I know mint takes over. I planted mine in a grow bag and I have the correct amount of respect and fear for it. And it STILL shocked me just how quickly it grows. I feel like you could sit and actually see it grow. I bought 2 plants a month ago and they’re already so big I have no idea what I’m going to do with it all!
You can't grow spearmint from seed?? Just threw that little bomb in there and didn't elaborate. Why can't you? I've just bought spearmint seeds 😅
How to grow mint without letting it take over your garden – put it in a separate pot away from the rest.
Here, I saved you'll 10 minutes
