  1. Canadian here with all Brits on dad’s side of the family. Just discovered your videos yesterday and I’m in nostalgic heaven. My great uncle Harry would always come for a visit during planting time (late May) and he was my favourite uncle. He never discouraged me from helping with the planting as a child, although I’m sure it would have been easier to leave the kids out of it. The world needs more people like you and my late great uncle. ❤️

  2. When I was a child, my family went camping and found a few potato plants growing at the edge of the forest. Deep in Quebec's wilderness. Wr figured someone threw potato peels on the ground and they grew. lol. To this day, I cut out parts of a potato with the eyes, and shove them in dirt. a bag of soil, slit open. a bucket or basket. miracle: taters

  3. As a beginner and someone interested in this, this is soooo simple to understand no fancy stuff no big expensive gear. Very simple. Thank you for being a simpler gardener !! 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻

  4. I have just stuck some in that sprouted in the veg rack over the last few months just left them until I had several I did it yesterday maybe should have watched this first 😂 I did not have a tub I just popped them in the end of a new raised bed that is full of horse manure thats been sat over winter if they do not grow I lost nothing. I have no clue what style they are will count the weeks and hope for the best

  5. YOU FORGOT THE BEST ALL ROUND POTATOE ON THAT LIST MARRIS PIPERS ARE THE BEST POTATOE FOR CHIPS MASH ROASTYS THOUGH THEY COST A BIT MORE THEY NEVER TURN TO MUSH IN A PAN LIKE SOME POTATOTES

  6. Amazon delivery heavy paper bags are great for storage. Even better in an old fridge or freezer on it’s back for cold storage outside. If temperatures plummet- add some Christmas lights- old style or rope lights to keep them frost free, and a frost thermostat for automatic operation.

  7. I’ve tried and failed soooo many times. 😅 I’m glad I found this video. New subby for you. I love gardening, and I want to grow everything, but here where I am I’m not sure when to plant or even IF I can. I may have to go to my moms, where the weather is more forgiving and do a garden on her property. 😅 Thank you for this video. I look forward to watching more and learning.
