  1. I believe the reference to the “dumb cane” in the one of the shots is inappropriate and that it should be referred to as a dieffenbachia. The name dumb cane has a racist backstory.

  2. i'm from michigan. back in 1976, when i was 12 yr. old. my family and i went out to california. i remember going to 2 or 3 different botanical gardens. i was totally fascinated and enthralled. i couldn't believe how beautiful those gardens were. i think the ones i went to were in the los angeles area.

  3. 2 years after this was posted my local shop has Philo spiritus sancti for $35.99. So remember if you see a very expensive rare plant, unless you want bragging rights, just wait and the price always comes down. Just picked up a Monstera Thai Constellation for 30 in a 6" pot.
