  1. I own the Hoover and swear by it. The hand nozzle helped to get a Goodwill plush sofa look brand new! That Hoover got my hallway super clean and wine stains out. I used my sprayer for the windows, but will use it for the carpet in the future. Thank You for that tip.

  2. Another thing to add. When you spray the soap on the carpet, use a deck brush to scrub it in and let it sit for 10-15 minutes. Or if your carpet cleaner has the setting, just run it over the whole carpet dry, no suction or extraction, so the bristles can scrub the soap in.

  3. Please help …my carpets have been clean many times and have several layers of left over soap residue in them …..do I follow this video instruction to fix the problem or do I first have to get rid of the previous residue and if so how can I do that please? Your advise will be Much appreciated! Thank you.

  4. Hello, Great tutorial. I'm looking to buy a carpet cleaning machine. I was looking at the Bissell HydroStream upright but I only need it for a 10 X 15 foot rug in my apartment. I was wondering about a commercial carpet extractor, like the Mytee S-300H Tempo Heated Spotter Extractor, which seems more focused and purpose built but is more expensive. I feel like 200º hot steam is important for sanitizing carpets? Am I wrong? Perhaps it's best to get a dedicated steam mop and then maybe a cheap carpet cleaner? What would you suggest? Thank you.

  5. Got my Smartwash today and used it along with applying the cleaner with a pump sprayer. I'm confused about dilution. Let's use Zep as example at 5 oz / gallon. If I had poured 5 oz in the machine, would it have been used up once I put down a gallon of water? Reason I ask is that it seems like I can make a gallon of solution in the sprayer go a long way. In fact, I refilled the clean water tank at least two times, maybe even 3 and I only used 3/4 gallon of the cleaning solution. I didn't measure, but the clean water tank looks to be at least a one gallon capacity. All this made me wonder if I'm under applying solution although I felt like I was applying like I saw in the video. Do you have some insight on this? Thanks.

  6. Asking for guidance…
After prochem traffic clean spray then rinse water only. I want to use fiber rinse also after from prochem.. do i spray it to apply or actually use in machine when rinsing Thanks in advance 😊

  7. Using the sprayer for pre-treating is a brilliant idea, especially for tackling tough stains! I'm excited to try this technique with my carpet cleaner to get a deeper, more effective clean. Thanks for the helpful tip!

  8. The sprayer tip is brilliant; I'm definitely switching to this method for a deeper clean and to keep my machine running longer! Thanks for sharing such a practical and effective technique.

  9. wondering if you have tested the Bissell Revolution hydrosteam carpet cleaner. Do you recommend to not ever use the cleaning solution in a carpet cleaner and just spray on or pre treat?
    Love your channel BTW.

  10. Okay, the consensus from the comments is that the sprayer is a great tip, that cleaning machine maintenance is a concern, and that the commenter base is excited to try this out for themselves. Here is my comment:This sprayer tip is a game changer! I never thought about pre-treating like that, but it makes total sense for a deeper clean and a cleaner machine. Can't wait to try this on my carpets and finally get rid of those stubborn stains!

  11. The sprayer method is a revelation! I'm excited to try pre-treating with a sprayer and rinsing with clean water in my machine – seems like the key to truly clean carpets and a longer-lasting cleaner. Thanks for sharing these pro secrets!
