Spring Garden Tour 2023 | Shade Garden Ideas | USA Zone 6b Gardening

Hi friends! Thanks so much for spending a little time with me today! Today I’m sharing my spring garden tour for 2023. I’ve done so much work on my property the last 3 years and I feel like this is the first year that things finally seem to be coming together. I live in Pennsylvania, USA in zone 6B. I have a mostly wooded property, which means the majority of my plants are in the shade. I’m always trying to find new varieties of plants that can thrive in the shade outside of the usual hostas and hydrangeas (although I do love both of those). Some grab a coffee or a cocktail, and come along with me as I do a walk through my yard, sharing with you all the beautiful plants that are currently in bloom at the end of April – including lots of Azaleas, Narcissus, tulips, bleeding heart and more. I’ll also talk about the progress I’ve made, plans for the future, and can hopefully give you guys some shade garden ideas and inspo!

  2. Hi,
the unhappy azalea against the house may have depleted soil. get it some flowering shrub fertilizer, give it to the mountain laurel as well. Watch to see if that azalea might have been under a down pour of water from the roof, or ice over the winter.

  3. I am teh Creeping Jenny lol! The stuff we brought home from your garden is already going bananas over here. Stupid deer ate the buds off of the majority of my black tulips and I am beyond sad.
