Hello
Just come across your vlogs xxxx
I'm new to veg growing this year, I'm actually binge watching all your videos xxxx
Love your allotment ❤ I actually want 1 now xxxx you've inspired me to try and grow other things now, ps u make me giggle so much , love how u just crack on with problems, but do it so funnily 😂
❤
I will try that recipe.
Always love your vlogs. Where did you get your gladioli bulbs from?
As someone has commented, that is a hand/bulb dibber. Specifically for planting tulip and crocus bulbs (or whatever bulbs you want to plant). I do enjoy your change up of content on Sunday, but watch every video you make. Cheers from Canada!
your fritters are looking absolutely delicious. thank you for the recipe.
your mint looks like lemon balm to me…
you do the chelsea chop with plants who flower in autumn. you reduce the hight of the stems to provoke sturdier stems and a later flowertime.
these brassicas are loving their new home. thank you for nutrition and water, Emma.
Use some fine wire wool to get the rust off. To prevent it, clean off tools after use. I call mine a dibber – it used to belong to my grandad who used to be a market gardener, so there are a few dibbers in my dad’s shed! The more he dibbed and planted, the more he got paid, so he never lost or mislaid a dibber.
I’m new here and just love this channel.
Emma…. labels !! … 😂🤦♀️
To have with your fritters mix Greek yoghurt, mint sauce, sugar and chilli powder it’s delicious. For a cup of yoghurt add about a teaspoon of mint sauce 2teaspoons of sugar and a good pinch of chilli. I make it the day before or early morning. You can tweak it to suit yourself I might add more mint and if you’ve added too much of something add more yoghurt 😊 I’m going to make your fritters they look delicious ❤
I love the Chelsea chop 👍 yes definitely your geum will come back
Same for me with the aphids this year. I’ve been using neem oil and it’s worked well!
When I get rid of a plant I apologise to it 😅 I try and give it away first.
I came across a dead rat in my garden the other day I ran like the wind 😂 my hero son bagged it and put it in the bin for me 😖
Any acid will take care of rust, like vinegar. For extra protection you can put a very thin layer of oil on the treated metal when you store them for winter.
Thank you !
A Chelsea Chop is done before the plant flowers and is used to produce a bushier more densely flowering plant ready for the Chelsea Flower Show. Cutting back after flowering is just dead heading.
Taking rust off- dip the small tools in a jar of white vinegar. Larger tools use a bit of sand paper to remove rust and wipe with vinegar.
The white fluffy bit of the bulb is where the roit comes out. You planted them upside down. Your garden is beautiful.
Neither bulbs nor corns, but corms.
Beautiful garden
glad to know we all have a rubbish corner of containers. I tidied but then we had nonstop rain for days and now it's sorting and getting all the water out. glad you video even with all the city noise. We have the same. Its okay to love our neighborhoods brimming with activity.
For the rust roll a peice of aluminium foil into a ball and just rub the rust off might not get all of it all depends how rusty it is.
The bugs are ladybird larvae, if you keep removing the aphids there will be no food for them and they will leave
Hiya. Emma enjoyed a Sunday visit across the pond, Ont Canada 🐝🇨🇦👋🏻
How to get rust off your tools:
Buy a cream mate. It’s basically a rust eraser, you dip in water then rub rust off. I bought one and a whet stone and my secateurs and snips are like new now. Camellia oil also good for keeping everything working smooth and protecting metal.
