You can dry herbs that way too. I prefer 100% white cotton thread. The herbs tie off in small bunches. When they get good and dry rub between your hands and put in an air tight glass jar.

Eeeeh jalapeños don’t dry they rot because the flesh is too thick. That’s why the only suffice t method of preservation can be pickling or even turning them to chipotle. I’m curious how those jalapeños you have turned out.
Taste is also preserved better vs a heated dehydrator

Literally anything. I used dried peppers to fence in my yard. I used dry peppers to change the oil on my truck. I used dry peppers to get a great plea deal with the judge… Literally anything!
You should put a slice in the pepper before you hang them. Because if you have some humidity in the room the peppers will mold. Putting a slice in the peppers keeps air moving .
