Another good idea is pay attention with any cutting tools. Try to keep fingers out of harms way atall tmes. Another humerous point. They print "caution rotating blade underneath." If someone doesn't realize there could be a rotating blade underneath maybe they shouldn't be operating the mower anyway.

40 grit sandpaper flap disc on a angle grinder works so easy. Put the blade in a vice that goober here doesn't have then put it on the balancer stand like he didn't.
That’s just the best way to ruin the blade and the lawn mower. Use a file to uniformly remove material while sharpening and balance the blade before installing it. You don’t need razor blade sharpness, that will be actually detrimental.
OMG 😂. A single blade on a push mower that you can turn on its side, sharpen with a dremel tool and not having to balance the blade. Oh those were the days. On a three blade zero turn you have to remove sharpen /balance the blades after 8-10 holes of mowing. Reinstall all three blades facing the same direction and tighten each to 90 ft/lb torque. That is in addition to taking a putty knife and spending an hour removing 1-2” of caked dirt/grass under the deck , then power washing the underside of the deck. Great video for a push mower.
Use a grinder with a flapper disk. It shouldn’t be paper cutting sharp or your edge will till after the first cut. And very important you need to balance the blade
You left out the part where you balance the blade and in this case you probably didnt take off much but a blade that is bably unbalneced will destroy your brand new machine faster than China can make you a new one !
Exactly how NOT to sharpen a blade. Using a cutting wheel on a dremel to grind with. Excellent way to shatter the wheel and pick fragments out of body parts. Plus this will be slow as crap. 40 grit flap wheel on an angle grinder and clamp the blade to something. Then balance the blade. Do NOT sharpen this way.

Using a cutoff wheel to sharpen sort of seems like using the pointed edge of a half round file to sharpen with.
New blade costs like 30-40 bucks, you can also use a flat file or a grinder or you can use sharpening blocks for knives.
Please don't test it with your bare finger. 😂

A metal file is best to sharpen the mower blade. Balance of the blade is very important.
Use nailfile.
Great vid! Be careful of those cutting discs (could shatter) and iirc, you only need to sharpen an inch on the tip of the blade
Start your lawnmower and go through rocks it will sharpen the blade while you hit the rocks, it works like magic

It is a sad fact that you have to take a picture but it works.
I use a coarse sharpening stone and leave the blade on.

You should always balance the blade, unless you want to wreck your mower every time you use it.

If working on a petrol lawnmower – make sure you tilt it backwards to remove the blade instead of on its side!
