  2. You had me scared there for a second, when I redid my master bath, I just took the crap wall off $ put mold resistant sheetrock up, taped it, mudded it,painted it and cut and put new moulding in, also added new higher end self cleaning toilet with new donut, lights, and a complete brushed nickel set for towel holders,tp and robe holders so it matched the new lighting, plus installed a new medicine cabinet with 3 doors. I thought you were gonna say i did something wrong here.

  4. I'm dealing with the batten thing, but fortunately the previous owner had painted all the walls. I would never try to strip the wall paper..it would be so much easier to just replace with regular drywall. I have one wall that I'm going to eventually replace with shiplap.

  5. Question: I painted my kids room in our trailer home and the paint is peeling off. I’m assuming it’s from not putting two layers of the primer before painting because I know I used the right paint for the walls. How do I remove the peeling paint without ruining the VOG?

  6. I'm living hurricane Helene and Milton damage in Florida. We lot our metal roof and had rain enter through the old shingle in the mater bath and bedroom. There is no saving the wall board as the water mitigation company cut the shower out and put it back with putty, also ceiling damage. Our only hope is new drywall. We have a new metal roof. We are almost to the start of hurricane season again and insurance will hopefully pay soon. I know with the mobile home you can't use standard drywall. I'm not sure the contractor has ever done a mobile home. Can you give any drywall tips to help?

  7. yes! Garz is a wall saver! I used it in my sister's stick built house, in her bathroom. They didn't prime the drywall before putting up wallpaper, so after removing the wallpaper, i had to sand it all down, apply the gardz and sand again.. gave it 2 coats! Then i was able to paint.

  8. I had a mobile home for 15 years. We removed them all when we were moving in and never had any problems with the walls. The walls were paneling so maybe that makes a difference. We filled anything that needed it and then painted most of it but put wallpaper in the bathrooms. Still looked great when we moved out.

  9. Thank you for sharing wisdom. I’ll be tackling a double wide soon and will definitely use your knowledge as I do. Also, I noticed your Air Force sign. ❤
Thank you for your service! ❤🇺🇸

  10. Question! If I have pulled the trim…. What’s the best way to fill and corner gaps? Or should I not fill it and and a corner trim I would prefer? This corner gap I’m working with is about half an inch….. someone help! 😂

  11. Hope all is well.
I would like do a peel and stick wallpaper on my vog panel. Any suggestions or tips on how to do that? I am also thinking of doing an accent type of peel and stick wallpaper as I have one small torn piece of the vinyl that is really annoying my wife and l.
This manufactured home was built in 1999.

  12. So I’ve watched a lot of your videos and am looking to try to achieve a level 5 smooth on my double wide walls. And your previous videos you say to use a light weight for this, my question if for the vinyl covered walls in a double wide would I use the all purpose green that is that stickier mud to cover the whole wall?

  13. What years had that type of walls? My mobile is a 1978 and it has walls made of thin paneling that the previous owner just textured then painted. I wish I knew how to make them look like normal walls but in a video by someone else about fixing up really old mobile homes, they warned that the support under the flooring may need shoring up if drywall was used to replace that old, thin, lightweight paneling. So I am thinking maybe you are talking about old but newer than 1978 mobile homes.

  14. Life saver. I love ur kilt! Thanks for ur videos…Its my 1st home…its all remodeled..but the ceilings…argh….I hated popcorn… now..what is this😂 I know nothing about manufactured homes…And I need to hang and change things…but …What if I remove and cant put back…
everything is complicated..different..full of ifs…more expensive than regular homes
And the increased value is little:0( but anyway…my trailer my castle…❤

  15. I'd love to make my double wide.Walls look like sheet rock but it turns out that I have wood panels with the strips in between and I don't know if I can tape and spackle them.

  16. Mobile homes in a dry climate RULE! Appreciate your information. I keep 'plastic wood' and old school wood glue on-hand at all times. Amazing wall damage results. I try to minimize damage on the way in so it don't get so tricky on the way out. Stay safe.
