  1. I just got a REALLY nice bradford sectional thats was my moms but it only has a "material" tag that just says "polyester fiber" it almost looks/feels woven it was like the sane color as that cushion you were cleaning, I tried to clean the back cushions and it looks like I dipped it in dirty water and let it dry😭 i have no idea where she got it and can't find care instructions online, it needs cleaned BAD but I'm scared to do anything else it looks dirtier after cleaning then it did before!

  2. Love your content! Just as an aside, it's perfectly fine to use homemade cleaning solution in an extractor, but make sure it is PH NEUTRAL, neither acidic (which will corrode) or basic (which might physically jam). I use 1 gallon WARM water, 1 tsp dawn, and 1/4 cup oxyclean. Don't use too much or overspray – agitation and extraction is what cleans, the soap just makes the dirt dissolve in water. Light spray + more passes is better than a heavy spray.

  3. I’ve been watching a lot of these videos and someone who was a professional upholstery cleaner commented on one and said you should use a specific kind of cleaner rather than dish soap because the upholstery cleaner breaks down into a powder that can be vacuumed away but the dish soap doesn’t and no matter how much rinsing it will leave a residue that will end up attracting more dirt.

  4. I just spilled almost a whole cup coffee on my upholstery of my new recliner/chaise thank God it is a dark charcoal grey almost black. I did then water/alcohol and a few drops of dawn dishwashing liquid. Let cross finger it works.

  5. Would you do a video on how to clean out your cleaner? My husband loaned ours to people with lots of pet urine in their carpet and now I’m concerned about using it on our stuff. Am I being paranoid?

  6. "What if I don't have an extractor?" Go buy one. They're relatively inexpensive, and you can clean your entire house with it. It's a regular process at this point with 3 kids and a dog. You do not realize how dirty your carpets and furniture get, but cleaning the house every couple months with a full deep clean will make a huge difference.
