My home has incredible lighting, do you think I would still need a grow light?
Could you do this with russet potatoes?
Thank you so much. I am going to try to join your Facebook group.
My leftover balcony dirt bag potatoes are chitting right now. After attempts to forcibly chit them (remain in soil, put in sun, put in water under grow lamp) I just gave up and put them inside in a paper bag on a shelf. Presto! I'm bucketing them in the window to get the greens started. I do have a grow lamp for later and can spread them out and deepen. Cramped for space right now. Still working to make my tank more upright. Need to sew.
You don't need a light for them to grew
Found this video because things are going to get more expensive.
It’s potato time!
i left my potatoes in a dark place to grow eyes, but they ended up rotting. why is that? 🙁
all the potatoes i ended up planting too, are also rotted

My potatoes were chitting too long, they grew roots on themselves

Is that green thing only when the potatoes are growing ? If they turn green in the house after they’ve been harvest it’s fine to eat? Never heard of that before so double checking…
For best results to get them to start budding or sprouting get organic potatoes most of them you will see eyes already forming in the bag when you look at them
What a beautiful Vancouver spring day you are having their. The snow is barely even sticking.

Wait!! They spray a chemical on our potatoes so they won’t sprout?? Geez! What’s the effect of that on our health 😢!??
no…wash them and drop them right in the dirt…you dont need to cut and chit…bullshot…the potatoes grow in nature without mans interference…drop them in and let it grow…i did it with every type of potatoe from walmart , shop right,,.. the chits died except for one in 10…fuck that
Perpetual potato predicament made my day 😂💖

If you have a TON of indoor light, can you just use that? Also, can you grow them completely indoors? If not, why not?
