Welcome back to another episode!
In this episode, we meet a family who made the bold decision to leave behind the expensive and busy paced lifestyle of the UK and start a new life in a remote Bulgarian village. For just £7,000, they purchased an abandoned house and began a journey of renovation, self-sufficiency, and reconnection with nature.

Their story is both inspiring and eye-opening for anyone dreaming of an alternative lifestyle!
We also get a tour of their land and property, to see exactly what you can with £7000 and what you can achieve on a budget with some hard work and persistence!
Lewis and Jordan walk us through their home, share their motivations, and reflect on the challenges and rewards of starting over off-grid!

Let us know what you think…. could you make the move to live live this way?

We hope you enjoy this episode just as much as we enjoyed meeting and filming with Jordan, Lewis and their family!
Thanks for having us guys!

Thanks to Lewis and Jordan for sharing their story with us and showing us around their home in Bulgaria! Make sure to check them out on the socials….

  1. You're not supposed to juggle your bairns. Practice with rocks of equivalent weight by all means if you can't bear to not know if you could hypothetically juggle your bairns, but don't ever actually juggle them, it's unethical. You shouldn't need to be told.

  2. I live in Dorset still, hailing from south London but moved this way in 93, lived in Bournemouth for some years before coming out to the sticks. The lady looks very familiar. Bournemouth sadly became the capital for kiddy fiddlers worldwide, councils across the country utilised a chap called Dave Wells who operated cheap and somewhat murky properties to move their child abusers away from the area and so more and more ended up in the town 🙁 I also find it no coincidence Jimmy Savile moved to the area.

  3. It's interesting that you couldn't have a mortgage, we came to UK from Romania in 2016 and in 2019 we bought our house with no money or help from anyone just with money that we made from work as carers and loan from the bank, so If you want something you can definitely have it with work and more work 😊

  4. When the house is perfect and there is another baby = divorce. Pathetically predictable. Run my dear chap, run. Now, before there ar more babies. She will destroy you. Come back in 10 years and tell me I wasn't right. Any woman who talks about her friends "advice", money and so on is a massive red flag. Poor man. All the other red flags are there. Such an idiot. All the information is there.

  5. Farmer life is nice and peaceful in some way, in other its hardwork and risks. I enjoy it Estonia, but here proporties now expensive. Bulgaris is warm place, so harvest much better.

  6. I left Bournemouth for uni, then London and later off to Australia 35 years ago. Bournemouth was a great place to grow up, but I have never regretted the move out of the UK for even a nanosecond.
