  1. The company that makes easy off oven cleaner just came out with a cleaner that fairly easily cleans the grout. I’ve tried the methods above and had to scrub the daylights out of the grout lines. Try easy off cleaner.

  2. If you use cillit bang purple spray it on the grout lines, leave it for 10 minutes and then come back and mop the lines and the whole floor you get the same effect without having to get down on your hands and knees to clean the grout lines!

  3. Excellent tips…thank you. How about small wavy grout lines in a kitchen compacted with grease please? Just moved in and a general degreaser only lifts so much and left with brown/yellow discoluration. Thanks.

  4. Dang I was hoping to see the final result, a before & after photo comparison. Oh well, thanks for the tips!

I almost clicked away when you poured vinegar into baking soda creating water. 🫣 Glad you explained why that doesn't work for folks who may not know! 😅

  5. Hi Carl, love your 2 DIY recipes (the IPA/vinegar and the IPA/washing soda). What do you use for a "light cleaning degreaser/all purpose" …. like for grimy kitchen counters that cannot have vinegar or the white residue from the soda? Would a simple blend of water and dish soap (with or without the IPA) be satisfactory for grease/sticky gunk? thank you

  6. Great video, always looking up when you post. My question regarding the grout and tiles is, assuming this is considered a restoration and not a daily thing, what would you use for a daily/weekly cleaning on bathroom? A neutral ph? Usually in bathrooms we see acidic cleaners for the lime/rust/calcium build up but i have come to the conclusion that these arent very good for grout/tiles. Also, would it be better to use something like a laundry detergent alongside washing soda and maybe borax with hot water for an overall better result?
