I am so excited to properly share this huge no dig vegetable gardening project called Dan Yr Onnen (Welsh for Under the Ash) which we started from a blank canvas 6 months ago and has now turned into a productive permaculture inspired growing space which I couldn’t wait any longer to share! I hope this gives you a lovely introduction and I would love to hear your thoughts, questions, and ideas!

Congratulations Huw.very nice you grden ❤🎉🎉
I love the root cellar idea.
Do you struggle with flea beetles with no dig? I love no dig but it’s my first year and we have a lot of them. I was finding that tilling helps keep them at bay. What is the variety of pak choy you are growing? Is it less desirable for the flea beetles? we also have leaf miners in our chinese cabbage- any suggestions for them too? Thanks in advance
Brilliant work you are doing and going to do, well done.
Just brilliant . Thanks for your insight into offered farming . Question: future pump potentially brings water 400 meters on a flat horizontal plane but what would that number translate into with a slight incline ? Your best guess
Possibly a great resource for local school kids to be introduced to veg growing. Maybe take a small version to schools themselves so that they can learn to grow in a school 'garden club.'
Huw, that's the best IBC rainwater collection system I've seen. Form and function! Please make a separate 'how to' video so we can copy your elegant design. Best wishes.
Love your videos and have gleaned much information from them. Cheers!
I thought exploding cucumbers were poisonous?
This is exciting!
BRILLIANT,,
How do you deal with slugs and snails?
Great videos and projects! I would love, love, love to see you work with a primary school in creating a small food forest. It could be an amazing and inspiring example for other schools to follow.
Beautiful gardens Huw
Love it Huw, thanks so much for all your gardening wisdom and knowledge, and your humility to learn new things!

Wow Huw, such an impressive project. I love the cover and rain collection system you have there too. There are definitely takeaways from this video for us smaller scale garden veg growers. I need to up my water collection game as we are still not seeing any substantial rain fall in my area of the South East of England. I feel we are heading into our corner becoming aa much more Mediterranean climate so rain water collection is going to be key going forward. I am off to check out your online shop now 😊 You are such an inspirational grower and I look forward to your vlogs. I want to come visit and volunteer one day, it is all so fantastic.
Can you tell me where I can get the metal raised beds please.
How do you manage all of the harvests?
Just beautiful!
The Edible Acres channel shows an amazing chicken composting setup.
The whole garden looks amazing. As a somewhat lazy and time limited person, is this your main day to day job. As I find even tending the small ornamental garden I have a bit much after coming home from work.
I've tried growing some food in tubs and pots before, but I lose the motivation at points, and it can end up dying off.
Just stunning!!!! A marvelous and heart lifting counter to the heart breaking environmental destruction that surrounds us all. Thank you Huw – and may your new gardener's shop flourish and grow the movement, I'm sure it will. Wish we had one here in Aotearoa/NZ but we are a too small market i'm sure.
I noticed a water collection system in the beginning I believe. How did you build it
So proud, inspired and excited for you Huw, amazing! Going to have a look at your website now, keep up this amazing work! Also where in Wales are you, I would love to come for a volunteer day?!
Brilliant video, Huw! Amazing use of this bit of land! It is great what you are doing down in Wales and gives me even more ideas for my own garden. So glad this is working out for you and hope for a big positive effect on many people and the environment as your enthusiasm touches others and inspires them to do similar. I will definitely checking out your online garden centre!
Superbe jardin !
absolutely amazing, looks like you have a great team working with you on this wonderful project, cant wait to see more
I just love your gardens so much that I just want to be there and work in them. Just volunteer my heart out. Unfortunately, I'm in Cheyenne WY.
Wow! What an impressive garden this is! I'm excited to see it, and excited about watching what's to come as you continue to develop it. Your videos are superb! And so inspiring!
What is the blue wood box with glass top ? Bee hive maybe?
This is great, thanks for sharing!
