Ferroli Boiler Error Codes

Boilers are machines. Even the most reliable and well-maintained boilers can encounter issues from time to time.

Let’s find out what the Ferroli boiler problems are.

🔍 What are the Ferroli boiler problems?
Possible Causes:

[F37 – LOW WATER PRESSURE]
First up, F37 – Low Water Pressure.
This fault appears when your boiler doesn’t have enough pressure to run safely. Without the right pressure, the system can’t circulate hot water through your radiators and taps effectively.

It often happens after bleeding radiators or if there’s a small leak somewhere in the system. A quick look at your boiler’s pressure gauge will confirm the problem; if it’s below 1 bar, the pressure is too low.

[F3 – SAFETY THERMOSTAT TRIPPED]
Next is F3 – Safety Thermostat Tripped.
Think of the thermostat as your boiler’s bodyguard; it shuts everything down when temperatures climb higher than they should.

A faulty heating sensor, poor water circulation, or trapped air inside the heating system can trigger this code. When that happens, the water inside the boiler overheats, and the thermostat cuts power to prevent damage.

[A01 – IGNITION FAILURE]
Then we have A01 – Ignition Failure.
This one means your boiler has tried to fire up but couldn’t ignite the flame. The most common reasons? A lack of gas supply, faulty ignition electrodes, or a malfunctioning gas valve.

Sometimes it’s as simple as checking if your other gas appliances are working. But in other cases, it could be a more serious problem with the ignition system.

[D1 – DIVERTER VALVE FAULT]
Finally, D1 – Diverter Valve Fault.
This code is less common, but it’s important. The diverter valve is what directs hot water to either your taps or your radiators. If it fails, you may notice you’ve got heating but no hot water, or vice versa.

The D1 code signals a blockage or mechanical issue inside the valve, which restricts water flow. Unlike low-pressure faults, this isn’t something you can usually fix yourself; it almost always requires a professional engineer to repair or replace the valve.

🔧 How to Troubleshoot:
Let’s find out how to fix Ferroli Boiler Problems.

[ CALL A GAS SAFE ENGINEER]
From low pressure to ignition failure, each code is designed to protect your boiler and keep your home safe. Some issues are quick fixes, while others need a Gas Safe engineer. If in doubt, always call a professional to keep your heating system running reliably.
