  1. I thought the cardboard was going on the top of the membrane before the wood chips went on, or was it cardboard, membrane then wood chips, and then compost or soil. Whichever way you are doing it, you forgot to put the cardboard down and give it a soaking with the hose.

  2. Another great video. Can anyone tell me the name of the tool Tony’s using to clear the path please? It’s my first year with an allotment and I’ve a few paths to put in over winter.

  3. Ah, the joys of trying to do gardening projects on a windy day. I related so much to the potty mouth moment when the wind kept trying to use the weed membrane as a sail.

I live in a fairly windy suburb, and sometimes trying to do things like netting or putting cardboard down is a right pain in the petunia! Everything is a blooming sail unless it's weighted down with a hefty number of heavy bricks. Very frustrating 😅

  4. That tape machine was a brilliant tool. I used to stand the markets with our plants from our nursery, we used that tool to tie up all the clematis and climbers, it taped thousands of them. Wouldn't have been without one.
