I finally realised that your Monty Don impersonation sounds like Art Malik.
I hear conflicting advice about leaves. Some say to leave them for wildlife and some say to rake them. I tend to rake them but leave them in a spot out of the way, so I can't see them.
I find this channel more informative than Monty, its timely which matters most. Monty's forever mentioning/planting things he did several weeks/months ago (or purchased stealthily) so you cant ever catch up, and he has an unending amount of compost! PS: when is panama hat season 🙂
