  1. Yeah, if you see the old color bleeding thru the chalk paint, it's best you apply a good primer next. Just go right over the chalk paint layer you already did. One coat of a good primer like Zinssers brand will suffice. Then you'll probably only need to do one coat of chalk over the primer.

  2. I was freaking out when you cut in after rolling and didn’t even put down a piece of cardboard like the opened lull box under the tray and can, or even an old sheet for painting. 😅omg! Loved the final result though. Very pretty.

  3. 🌸La felicidad es compartir lo mejor del corazón… me encanto ese precioso detalle de ayudar a quien de verdad lo necesita y quien sabe apreciarlo … saludos desde Peñitas, Tx ❤️🇲🇽🌸

  4. This was so heart-warming 🥹❤.
Only thing I'm wondering is, why no sheets on the bed?
Although not my colors, it's beautiful and done with a lot of love, also I relate to her story.
I lost my husband 24 years ago and am still trying to find a forever home after losing two houses and moving around.
Im going to makeover a room at a friend's house for temporary living to feel as at home as I can.
I pray one day I'll be done moving and have my own space with bathtub soon🙏💖.
Thank you for sharing both of you🥰

  5. Sand by using a sander and enough to let the "primer" adhere. Then let dry and soft sand b4 next coat of "primer" then use paint color. It would have saved you a few days as well as priming the bedroom b4 paint.😊

  6. So great to refurbish the dresser – cost effective and recycle. Lots of great knobs at second hand store for cost effective design change. Definitely sanding before painting, or primer coat but live and learn! Also good to mention about returning the dresser natural state with stain etc. I always use tape when painting as I'm not a neat / tidy painter LOL. I applaud your efforts and willingness to DIY!

  7. Are you going to paint over the mess you made on those skirting boards. I was also not impressed with you dragging that dresser across that floor and scratching the hell out of it. Anyway, nothing really to do with me, so!
