In week 1 of our 1930’s house renovation, we start removing ceilings, stripping down the heating system and wallpaper so we can get back to a blank canvas to start the transformation!
We’re Nick & Rachel, and we’re first-time buyers in our early 20s taking on a large renovation project (for us!)—a 3-bedroom semi-detached house in need of a complete makeover, as first-time DIY’ers. This channel is all about sharing the highs, lows, and everything in between of renovating our first home. Whether you’re starting your own renovation journey, looking for inspiration, or just love watching a good transformation story, we’d love to have you follow along.

You will get a lot of money for your lead pipes, we got at least £100 pounds 10 years ago.
I would put a new bigger 22mm ptfe water main in. The pressure and flow would be so much better and you can do the donkey work by digging the trench outside. Also allows you to add an external meter and shut off valve
Love your attitude of “do it right the first time”
Are you doing up a house in Frome?!
So….. great vlog
So……look forward to future vlogs
So……So…. So…. 😂
Loads of progress already. Keep it up guys!!
Ohh gosh that box room brought back memories I had a box room as a teenager was not fun at all… just a suggestion but maybe have the door opening against the wall frees up space then 😊
To anyone planning this work, particularly with 1900s houses, the first thing you should do is get an asbestos survey!! fireplaces and ceilings often have asbestos!
Maybe re think the proposed layout of the living room, then you won’t have to move the door. I personally think the media wall would be great on the right hand side wall with the fireplace in the corner. Something to think about.😊
I would never remove a original 30s fireplace
nice
Couple goals, well done guys, keep going and start doing more buying+selling
Looking forward to following your progress! Good luck 😊
