Hello everyone and welcome back to my channel. I’m embarrassed to say but I don’t know the last time this oven door was cleaned. It can be such a daunting task but today I am going to show you a quick way to clean the glass and door in 15 minutes or less! Start by filling a bowl with the hottest tap water you can get. Then, take a Finish dishwasher tab and unwrap it. Put on some gloves to protect your skin and then drop the red power ball in the bowl of hot water (i’m not really sure if using the red power ball makes a difference or not but I put it in there for good measure). Dip the white surface of your dishwasher tab in the water and then gently begin scrubbing the glass with the tab. Don’t press down on the tab too hard as it will break. I found that the tab will break apart over the course of your cleaning as more and more water is getting absorbed into it as is intended to do in the dishwasher so if that happens you can make the decision to keep using the broken pieces or grab another tab. I wiped the door clean a couple of times throughout this process once it got messy so that I could see what I still needed to tackle. After I was done with the glass I also used this method to clean the ceramic part of the oven door. Once you think you’re done, wipe down the door and glass with water until all residue from the tab is removed. Then give it a good spray with a water and vinegar solution to give it a streak free shine. I was completely amazed how well this method worked and it took me a total of 12 minutes! I’ve never taken any of these recommendations seriously because none of them really work, until now. Anybody who’s watching this video knows cleaning a greased up glass on an oven door is a pain in the neck saying it politely. I tried this exactly as described I was incredibly pleasantly surprised that in a relatively short time I received a perfect result and a piece of glass that looks new!! Thank you for this!

Tried it, but did not work for me. Used Cascade pod, so may have to try it with Finish.
Its more easy if you take your oven door glass out , and take it to the kicken Sink!
This really works. With a clothy/soft scouring pad it gets the grease off without scratching the glass. I did this with the oven door glass removed completely, and laid flat on the countertop.
THIS ACTUALLY WORKS! I had tried several 'solutions' and they barely scratched the surface of the baked on grease. I was skeptical this would work on a 12 year old oven but I followed the instructions in the video including using the Finish powerball tablet (I tried another brand and it dissolved instantly) and the glass came out clean! Jim, instead of all that manual scrubbing, just dissolve the tab into an ounce or 2 of water or vinegar let the tab dissolve, go have a coffee. When you come back the paste solution will be ready. Smear the mix all over the glass, go have another coffee. Come back with a wet rag and wipe all the mess off. Viola! Clean glass and you wont wear out your arm. Then go have a beer.

It works. Maybe better than the harsh cleaners. Don’t wet the tablet as much as shown in the video and expect to go through 3 to 4 tablets. For those crystallized stubborn bits use a razor blade or X-acto blade – flat edge on a 45 degree angle and don’t cut into stubborn bits. If you are slightly mechanically inclined you can take apart the oven door to clean areas that are sealed away. There are videos on doing that and make sure you have something like a bucket to rest the oven door on when it snaps open like a clamshell.
It really works. Even removed oil stains from my fifteen years old oven😂

All the the money and time spent on different products that didn't help at all, I just can't believe this actually worked! 15 minutes and the glass is clean as new! Thank you so much 😊 I've also noticed it helps with the tray as well.. In case someone isn't sure, I used a different tablet and it worked perfectly 😊
I use an actual degreaser called Elbow Grease. Spray it on leave it for 5 – 10 minutes then scrape it off with a very sharp wallpaper scraper then wipe clean.

This actually worked. It took an hour and 4 tablets to get my very dirty glass clean, but it did the trick!
BS…unless you use a box of tabs 🙂 they are designed to be ultra soluble, in seconds it would disintegrate.

This is all well and good , and I know it works, but ….a very big but …I manage about 2 circles around any surface in my oven and the tablet has cracked into many pieces .That makes it very expensive
