So if I am just washing cap sleeve mid length dress can I just hand wash inside out and lay flat to dry. I know dumb question but just checking. Arm pitts a bit discolored

What I do is: I turn it inside out. Fold vertically then roll from top to bottom then I place it in a small net bag so it stays into place and to avoid wrinkles. Then I just use cold wash for 30 mins. Then hang to dry.

The point is that you're using a non polar solvant (as opposing to water which is a polar solvant) to clean non polar stains (like dissolve like)

It doesn't matter that you use mild detergent, as long as its polar you won't be doing dry cleaning

No!! This is NOT “dry cleaning.” You can actually dry clean your clothes by using a product called Dryell. The instructions on the package of Dryell say use the mesh bag that’s supplied and put it in the dryer to allow the chemical soaked cloth that’s supplied with the kit to clean your clothes.

So the thing is to put mild detergent in the laundry bag and not dry it? But water will be used. This process can be used with woollen clothing?

For those who don’t know, dry clean doesn’t mean “dry” cleaning process. It means no water. They wash the clothing with a chemical instead of water but they still put it in a washer and get the garment wet.

i did put my suit in the washer. i used a very light touch of blue dawn to remove the makeup that naturally gets on the rim of the jacket ( im still wondering HOW that happens🤦🏽..but i digress) then i use the delicate cycle ( i dont have an "agitator" ) and a very light liquid amount of liquid detergent. i immediately remove from the washer, shake shake shake and hang up on wood hangers to dry. my first time..i was nervous but it washed well..all stains gone and it wore well. its a calvin klein suit and im impressed. my ann taylor suit allows for washing instead of dry cleaning. i used cold water and no fabric softener. i say to each his own. thanks for sharing!❤

And this is how I ruined my rayon pants! I submerging them in water! Never never again. I will use one of the home dry cleaning systems. It works every time!😊
