It’s May and Rachel gives the third tour of the 2023 season. The plots are tidy, Spring is definitely here but are we behind on planting from previous seasons?

At Don’t Crop Me Now we have 500sq.m of space comprising 1 full plot and 2 halves and follow a ‘No Dig’ method in raised beds. We grow a wide range of fruit, veg and flowers which supply our kitchen all year round. We are not fully self-sufficient, but we shop very rarely.

  1. Nice update.

How do your allotments work? Are they council run or community? How come you have so many plots? At our local allotments we are only allowed one plot per household.

  2. Oh my look at all those seedlings in the greenhouses 😮. Everything looks fantastic Rachel and Anthony very impressive 👍. Oh. O I have lots of pests but luckily no cats eating my asparagus, can you just perhaps reinforce the 4 corner posts? Have a great weekend happy gardening, Ali 🇨🇦

  3. 🌱 Love the plot! So much going on. I grow my potatoes similar to you, but I use old waterbutts which work great.

I've just started my own vlog if you fancied a gander! Keep up the great work! 🌱
