  1. Here in the San Francisco Bay area the cabbage white butterflies are still laying eggs, and the larva are eating up our kale and collards like crazy, as well as the slugs and snails!

  2. I have been remiss in letting yall' know how great my Hossinator jalapeno plugs did this year. I got them in March, was harvesting my mid-May and I am still getting jalapenos in mid-December (9A). Along with lots of fresh eating, pickling and giving to friends, I have prepped and froze over 15lbs to candy. LOTS of my friends will be getting Cowboy Candy for Christmas. Thank you!!

  3. It's expensive to get started with container gardening but once you have it, you have it for years. I'm past the age and physical ability to plow up ground and keep it weeded, so raised beds and grow bags have become my garden. It's much easier to plant and maintain raised beds and grow bags and keep them weed free.
