Growing plants is not hurting the environment. Period. If you think it is, you're a part of the problem. They just want you dependent on the government for literally everything. I am low income and have been my entire life. I'm starting my first garden ever this year because I don't want to be on government assistance to help me buy food, I want to be able to feed myself and my family.

AGREE, to DISAGREE…yes, people did, to lowes for me…it was practically the only place we could go! This article is not the only time they didn't want people doing backyard gardening. Quite a few years back, they pulled the same thing. You talk about poisoning, they are killing off all our pollinators as well. GOD knew what he was doing about our pollinators.
When I was a little girl, I remember garden shacks on the side of the road where people sold produce they grew. NOT anymore.
