Unexpected Home Repairs

Recently, we had some unexpected damage in our home that caused us to make some unplanned repairs and updates.
It was a lot of work, but we love the outcome. We are so thankful for family members who sacrificed their time to help us. While we were repairing the damage, we did a few more things that we had considered before and now was the perfect time to do them.
Home repairs usually take longer than you think, isn’t that the case? We still have things to finish up and a few more projects we are working on too, so stay tuned to see it all come together.
Have you ever had a dishwasher leak? Please share your dishwasher leak repair suggestions and also dishwasher recommendations too.

Kitchen Tour Video:
****There are 20 seconds where there is no sound in the video, 17:20-17:40. I apologize for that! It was fine during editing, but for some reason there must have been a glitch while rendering the video. I didn’t realize it until this video was already uploaded, so I didn’t want to delete it and re-upload it. Here’s what I was saying in the video: “We found the leak about a month ago and we still have some things left to do, finish the baseboards, the ceiling, and we’re going to do a few things in the kitchen as well. We’re not going to get into that in this video because it will make this video too long, but I’m really excited about that.”*****

  1. Wow, one thing leads to another, but it sure turned out beautiful! We had a similar thing happen with the dishwasher. I was in the basement and heard water dripping on some styrofoam, and it turned out the hose inside the dishwasher had come loose and like you, the damage wasn’t in front of the dishwasher itself, but in front of our sink. The floor buckled a little, but thankfully we didn’t need to replace anything! And our repairman said in his 27 years of repairing appliances, that was the first time he had ever seen that happen. Lucky us, lol!!

  2. You guys are so lucky to have it all done in one month, we had the same thing done but it was a whole hot water pipe that burst causing over $100,000 of damage it happened last summer in July and just now in June 2022 we got insurance to cover as they should have to start with. Contractors just started this month still have a few more months to go.

  3. I suggest replacing the dishwasher on e it's fixed it will never be the same and susceptible to break again. Stay away from anything made by Samsung all garbage I originally bought all Samsung appliances for my home 6 years ago and one by one I've had to replace them all. Bosch is literally the best.

  4. Beautiful floors! My husband is an appliance tech and he says it's almost never worth it to fix a dishwasher. Once it starts giving up it will continue to keep breaking. I've bought a used kitchen aid dishwasher that still works great and it was 12 yrs old but right now nothing is build to last, we recently moved and remodeled so I got a Samsung dishwasher that is do quiet u can't hear it's on🤣 and it costs 1200 and I still miss the old kitchen aid one, it was louder but washed way better, I never had to rinse food off
