Hi Tony, that's what I do with my beetroot, multi sow, then pick the biggest ones in to grow on 😊 all your lettuce, beetroot, sweetcorn etc are lookjngvrwally good. I've only just sown sprouts in the hope they will progress ftom their seedlings 🤞 lovely plot update. Thanks for sharing and take care 😊
You always give such good ideas Tony, then I pause the video and say, "Why the heck don't I do that?!?" ..off to the garden or greenhouse I go… 20 minutes later… here I am, thanking you! 💗
Much love and respect from on top of Lake Superior.
Plot looking good Tony 😊
Looking good Tony , one of my beds of garlic was shite too so I took it out but rest doing ok .
I picked peas , potatoes and lettuce last night, nice feeling when crop starts to come .
Tony, I’m an Ozzie gardener, well retired but like you I love messing around my veggie patch. Your show is chicken soup for the soul. I love it, never miss an episode. You are great therapy, you just need to learn how to grow stuff (joking). Keep it up man it’s brilliant 😎
Your garlic doesn't seem to have split into multiple cloves. Mine looks the same. Vernalization is the proper term I believe. I've not harvested mine yet but I did a test harvest and they look terrible. Didn't split and starting to rot.
Next year I might not bother doing garlic. Or maybe I'll leave the bulbs in the fridge for a spell then sow in march. I've seen Dan over on Allotment Diary always get good bulbs even though he doesn't sow until early March.
Nice one Tony ,its looking good.
The runner beans CD grows for butter beans are a particular variety called Czar I think, unless those are similar I think the dried beans you will harvest will look the same as the seeds we usually buy to plant, like purple and black coloured. I’ve had a very quick google cos you got me interested and it seems you can still use them like any dried bean but just give them a good cooking, I suppose as you would anyways. Lovely update 😘
Scotch bonnet chilli doesn’t blow ya socks off, got plenty of heat but definitely usable. One of my favourites tbh I find them quick to flower but slower to ripen red. Still get plenty of ripened chillis, even here in SE Northumberland 🤩
Growing lots of lovely veg there Tony, thanks for the plot tour.
Love your channel Tony. I live in the south west but am in Scotland on holiday until Sunday when I’m coming to your neck of the woods in Northumberland for 2 nights before travelling down to Lincoln for 3 more nights.
Your beetroot are looking good. I don’t juice fruit or veg, as it destroys the fibre. Love beetroot with goats cheese though …. Mmm
What do you do with all the veg you produce??😇❤️
❤❤❤
Onions don’t like competition, so you should probably weed them. My Japanese overwintering onions are huge, I think they’ll be better than my spring planted onions.
This is looking canny Tony….
Garden is a credit to you pal. 👍
Tony where do you buy your green netting from? I’m on a tight budget. 🐝🐝🐝🌻🌻🌻
My Garlic is the same, If love, food and attention could have helped they would be as big as melons
Looking great I think garlic and onions struggled this year
Beautiful garden !
celeri has to be sow tight and touching together to shade themself to grow high to reach the light
Celeriac is good in a pot of potatoes and boil it with, to make a mash potatoes , give it a good taste..
Thank you for for showing me how to garden an i have a lot of success with the netting around my kale an cabbage…. Have a nice day! From Canada
Top Tony you the best the moostuin the Tour groenten Top looks thans the video good week friend 👍🪴🥬🫘🌞😎🍹👍
Looking fantastic Tony, buy yourself some neem oil spray my friend, you'll not have any type of bugs on your peppers. Tried and tested and I recommend..👍
I think i've discovered a great slug repellent fellow gardeners. I left a small pot of creocote in my polytunnel. Guess what no slugs for days. I believe the smell repels them from coming in
Hi Tony your plot is looking fabulous lv Irene 😘 xx
The plants nearest the door look like the growth has checked, maybe the door was open or there's a draft? Same thing happened to me , they're recovering now
Good morning Tony, A Blueberry patch is a great idea for that bit but you will need to amend that soil to a low ph. The stuff you buy in the shops is very poor, I just bought several bags of Irish moss peat (ph3.5) from Jamison brothers for the new blueberries in the tunnel. I over loved the last ones with sulfur.😂 ATB mick.
Looking good 👍 Don't be down on the garlic, mine is rubbish this year too 😢
Ohh so green 😊😊
My garlic are not the best this year also 😊
It's looking fab 👌
Looks great Tony cheers for the tour! Love your beds. Just took a plot on up Gosforth Park and going to try and build some similar.
Morning Tony…I do the same with dried beans..pop them in jars and add to stews during the winter..I always grow to many…runner bean chutney is really nice as well…Have a great day..🌞x
I did similar trellis one year, struggled to pick through it, the following year, I stood them upright and added canes across the tops to make a flat top on the trellis and hold it together. That worked far better, I could get inside to pick
