Stems by Suzanne is a micro flower farm, growing and selling cut flowers as a side hustle, I grow cut flowers in my small cut flower garden in the Uk.
My interest in cut flowers began in 2019, and in 2020, I began to growing more and more flowers, so in 2021 I began to sell some flowers to try and cover the costs of my ever growing seed and plant addiction, I have continued to grow and sell cut flowers ever since.
I struggled to find video content relatable to small scale cut flower production, so I started making videos, which I hope will inspire you, to grow your own cut flowers.

In this video I receive an exciting delivery of young perennial plants for the cut garden, so you can join me to unbox and plant them.

If you found my video useful or inspirational and would like to contribute towards the making of these videos please follow the link to buy me a coffee, thank you 🌸

  1. Hi Suzanne re your remark about packaging on plug plants I've t been delighted with my plug and garden ready plants from PICKED AT DAWN on utube and a flower farmer from near York. The packaging is plastic free and the plants superb.
I always look forward to your vlog your content has been very useful even though I'm not a flower farmer

  2. Great idea to overwinter them in the ground. Inside they always stay to dry or to wet.
    Nice raised beds, wauw!

About the sap. I tried euphorbia this year. After handeling a few stems I washed my hand really good, went inside the house and apparantly touched my eyes… my eyes started burning lightly, I didn't think of the euphorbia and rubbed my eyes some more before I realized my mistake. Gosh, my eyes burned for an hour before is started to fade a bit. And I washed my hands thoroughly!
After that I ripped all my euphorbia out, I cannot sell something to a customer, thinking about curious children or pets that could get affected by it(I have a cat that munches on anything), brrr!

  3. Thank you, Suzanne! What a treat to watch your update this Sunday morning with my coffee. I am sorry you are feeling under the weather. That sucks! But wow! I love your gorgeous wood for your raised beds! Blessed be he who did the measuring and cutting! And I love that perennial cornflower variety! It’s delicious to my eyes! It reminds me of berry juice. What I love about this flower is its long vase life and little zigzags on the bottoms as they are so interesting in dried flower decorations. All of the babies are gonna be so cozy and safe this winter, no doubt about it! Can’t wait to see your next update! Take care, you are needed by your flower folk too! 💐

  4. Excited to see how these perennials go! By the way in case you see people only watched a portion of your video I have to tell you todays story.. I watched a third on my daughter's TV while house sitting, a third back home, then the rest on another device. So please don't think some gave up watching 😁❤

  5. Your idea to use stock fencing has been the best tip ever. I’m a serial offender for not netting my flowers, but using the fencing wire has been so easy for both netting or low tunnel depending on how long you cut it.

  6. Hope you feel better soon. Those new raised beds are going to be fab! I'm sure those perennials will be super happy overwintering in their temporary home. I've had an exciting delivery today some bulbs and corms now where to put them? Thank you for sharing have a great week.
